The President
On 16 July 2009, the CIAA Board elected its President, Jesús Serafín Pérez.
Board of Directors
The Board of Directors is composed of 17 Directors, all of whom are CEOs of food and drink companies, including five from SMEs. The Board defines FoodDrinkEurope’s vision, policies and priorities in accordance with the Roadmap, which it submits to the General Assembly for approval. Executive Committee (EXCOM)
The Executive Committee (EXCOM) is composed of nine members of the Board, including the President, and is responsible for overseeing the organisation’s work, in accordance with the priorities defined by the Board. The EXCOM takes the lead in policy debates and can establish FoodDrinkEurope Expert Groups to examine specific issues.
General Assembly
The General Assembly is composed of all FoodDrinkEurope members (national federations, European sector associations and large food and drink companies). It approves the annual accounts, adopts the Roadmap and establishes internal rules of procedure.
Each member has voting rights in the General Assembly, currently allocated as follows:
51% for national federations
34% for large food and drink companies
15% for European sector associations
Committees of Directors General (CDG)
The Committee of Directors General (CDG) is composed of representatives from each national federation and European sector association. It ensures smooth communication between the secretariat and its members.
Liaison Committee (LC)
The LC is composed of representatives from each food and drink company member. It also ensures smooth communication between the secretariat and its members.
