FoodDrinkEurope asks the Parliament to support reformulation efforts
FoodDrinkEurope calls on Members of the European Parliament to continue to support the food industry's reformulation efforts (reducing the content of nutrients such as sugars/salt/fat in food and drink products) and the possibility to inform the consumer of these recipe changes so that they can make informed choices about the products they consume.
On Thursday 2nd February, the European Parliament votes on an objection to the draft Commission regulation amending Regulation (EC) 1924/2006 with regards to the list of nutrition claims. FoodDrinkEurope calls on members to vote against (or abstain from) the objection to the draft regulation.
