Nestlé's net-zero dairy farms

Published: 04/03/2021

Milk products and plant-based dairy alternatives are core to Nestlé’s future. The company wants to develop dairy products that are good for people and good for the planet.

Nestlé projects in Switzerland (Climate-friendly Milk) and in the UK (First Milk) have achieved strong results in reducing carbon emissions over more than 220 dairy farms.

These reductions have been reached by a range of better farming initiatives including keeping cows longer, using more local feed, working on cows’ health through improved veterinary practices.

The company will scale up these initiatives in France, Germany, Morocco and Spain. Net-zero emission dairy farms is Nestle’s goal.
