In 2019, Nestlé Spain launched a colourful “Nutriplato” plate. This was complemented by a guidebook for parents and a website, promoting a balanced family meal and Mediterranean diet to help improve the eating habits of children aged 4 to 12. Nestlé developed this initiative in collaboration with the Hospital Sant Joan de Déu in Barcelona, a leader in paediatrics. The Nutriplato was adopted and rolled out in Italy and is due to be adopted in France and Germany next year.
