Quaker's simple change reduces plastics by 14%

Published: 21/08/2020

Quaker, a PepsiCo brand, has removed the plastic lids from its Oat So Simple range of porridge pots, in another step towards PepsiCo’s Sustainable Packaging Vision.

The company is working to reduce the amount of plastics in use, recycle the plastics brought to market and reinvent plastic packaging, in the pursuit of PepsiCo’s global target of designing 100% of packaging to be recyclable, compostable or biodegradable by 2025.

This latest, simple change sees the removal of all plastic lids from a dozen Quaker products, whilst retaining foil lid to keep the product fresh.
