Agri-food chain makes joint proposals to Michel Barnier on Brexit

(Brussels, 6 February 2019) Copa and Cogeca, CELCAA and FoodDrinkEurope, on behalf of the entire EU agri-food chain, acknowledge the significant efforts of the EU and UK negotiation teams in securing the Withdrawal Agreement and finalising the Political Declaration. However, EU farmers and food and drink companies are still faced with a lack of certainty over the Brexit process and, this week, EU agri-food chain stakeholders repeated their concerns regarding the possibility of a no-deal Brexit.

EU agri-food chain welcomes positive INTA vote on the EU-Japan EPA

(Brussels, 6 November 2018) The EU agri-food chain partners - COPA and COGECA, CELCAA and FoodDrinkEurope – welcome yesterday’s positive vote in the European Parliament’s International Trade Committee (INTA) on the EU-Japan Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA). This vote brings this major agreement one step closer to ratification.
